The Glasgow Colorectal Centre has experienced colorectal surgeons who use the most modern methods to investigate and treat patients with a variety of colorectal problems. Our surgeons trained in centres of excellence in the UK & USA. They are experienced in the latest surgical techniques including conventional and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery to ensure less pain and a rapid recovery.  

We have a close working relationship with our anaesthetic and radiology colleagues as well as having the ability to deploy specialists in nutrition, stoma care, pain relief and many others fields.

We continue to research and publish on Colorectal and General Surgery topics. In addition to scientific publications, we have contributed to or edited a number of textbooks of Colorectal and General Surgery surgery.

As well as providing expert operative care, our surgeons are experienced in both diagnostic and screening colonoscopy to help diagnose and treat many bowel problems.

The are experienced in colonoscopy, Bowel Cancer Screening colonoscopy, laparoscopic surgery for benign bowel problems and cancer of the colon and rectum,  diagnosis and surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease, THD procedure for haemorrhoids, and open and laparoscopic hernia surgery.
